{Day 14} The Choice to Follow

We follow hard after the Lord.

We dream big. We cautiously make plans.

We take the next step by faith. We trust.

And yet…

We still forget. We get distracted, we question, we doubt.

We again need to be reminded that our identity isn’t found in our calling.

We find our identity – our worth, our purpose, even our calling – in Christ alone.

“In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.” – Ephesians 1:11-12 (ESV)

And so…

We again make the choice to follow hard after Him. Daily.

“And he [Jesus] said to all, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.'” – Luke 9:23 (ESV)

How will you choose today?
