Salt of the Earth

I may have written two blog posts this week that were both deemed completely unacceptable during their final edits.

…and…

I may have stayed up until 1:00 in the morning on Wednesday (wait, does that still count as Tuesday night?) looking for decorating ideas on pinterest (which may or may not explain the incoherent blog posts…).

…and…

I may have looked slightly foolish lying on the in-desperate-need-of-sweeping-and-mopping living room floor while attempting to take these photos for the You Capture photography assignment of “white”. Just ask my roommate, B. She may have questioned my sanity for a hot second, but that might not be a new thing. . .

…but…

Now that I’ve looked at far too many photos of a simple mason jar salt shaker, all I have been able to think of today is this:

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.” — Matthew 5:13 (ESV)
